Chris Brown ‘Sorry and Saddened,’ Seeking Counseling

In a statement issued through his publicist, Chris Brown says words are not enough to express his regret over his alleged attack on Rihanna.

Chris Brown issued a public statement through his publicist Michael Sitrick on Sunday, February 15, saying he is “sorry and saddened” over his alleged attack on girlfriend Rihanna that occurred last Sunday, February 8, the report of which has dominated major media headlines over these past few days. Expressing his feeling even further, the R ‘n’ B singer said words are not enough to express his regret over the blow-up.

For the time being “I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God’s help, to emerging a better person,” Chris added. He, moreover, stated, “Much of what has been speculated or reported on blogs and/or reported in the media is wrong. While I would like to be able to talk about this more, until the legal issues are resolved, this is all I can say except that I have not written any messages or made any posts to Facebook, on blogs or any place else. Those posts or writings under my name are frauds.”

Chris Brown currently has been staying at home, his biological father Clinton Brown exclusively confirmed to People last week. Refusing to disclose the exact location of Chris’ whereabouts, Clinton simply stated, “Let’s just say he’s home. Just know that he’s home.”

In the meantime, Chris is awaiting for his next court appearance, scheduled for March 5. Beside the felony charges of making criminal threats, which was pressed to him during his brief arrest last week, Chris may face additional charges from the district attorney.

Chris Brown Bruised and Bit Rihanna; World Awaits Mug Shot

Chris Brown turned himself in earlier this evening to the Los Angeles Police Dept. for assaulting Rihanna. According to sources, Chris Brown hit Rihanna with his fists and bit her. Chris Brown, who is known for his singing and dancing, also studied martial arts, said the Daily News. The details of why Brown hit Rihanna have not been released. According to a information released by the police to TMZ:

Law enforcement sources have now gotten specific with us… police took pictures of Rihanna’s injuries and they are “horrific.” As we reported, the photos show major contusions on both sides of the singer’s face — there is serious swelling and bruising. Her lip is split and her nose bloody. We have now confirmed there are bite marks on one of her arms and on several fingers.

As reported earlier, following the incident, Brown left Rihanna battered at the scene. The injured singer was then taken to the Cedars Sinai Medical Center where she was treated for bruises and bites. Rumors were flying today that Brown beat up Rihanna because she gave him herpes. The rumors are unconfirmed. According a rep from Rihanna the singer is “well.” Brown was arrested and was released on a $50,000 bail. The mug shot of Brown, which has begun to be heavily searched for on the web, has yet to be released.

For Some Reason, Wrigley Suspends Commercial Of Chris Brown Kicking Gum Around

Wrigley has apparently decided not to air the following commercial of Chris Brown suavely kicking a pack of Doublemint gum around, for reasons unspecified. Without being too speculative, I’m guessing that either test audiences had problems with the lighting in the commercial or there may have been a royalty issue with the rights to the song; I can’t imagine why else any company wouldn’t want to publicly associate its brand with R&B star Chris Brown as much as humanly possible. Maybe they’re negotiating to get Michael Phelps?

Chris Brown arrested over Rihanna beating

Rihanna who had seemingly a fairytale romance with fellow music superstar Chris Brown was allegedly beaten. What is known with certainty is that Chris Brown was arrested as a part of an investigation for alleged domestic violence felony battery. See photos and video here.

Both Chris Brown and Rihanna canceled their performances at the 2009 Grammy Awards. Replacing them was a duet of “Let’s Stay Together” by Justin Timberlake and Al Green. Ironic though coincidental choice of songs in these circumstances.

That same night, February 8, 2009, Chris Brown was arrested. The arrest was confirmed by LAPD and caught on tape by TMZ. However, as per law, the victim’s identity is not released as anyone involved in an incident of domestic violence is entitled to confidentiality. He was later released from police custody after posting $50,000 bail.

According to police reports, officers responded to a 911 call at around 12:30 a.m. An unidentified woman who appeared to have been beaten identified Brown as her attacker. Brown was not found at the scene.

There was no confirmation or denial from Rihanna, only a vaguely worded statement from her publicist: “Rihanna is well. Thank you for your concern and support.”

Along with the aforementioned Grammy performances canceled. The singers had last appeared together Saturday night at the star-studded Clive Davis pre-Grammy party in Beverly Hills. Both of the chart-topping, internationally known singers are quite young; Chris Brown(”Forever”) is 19 and Rihanna (”Disturbia,” “Don’t Stop the Music”) is a few days away from her 21st birthday. Prior to this disturbing incident they had been the delight (and paycheck) of paparazzi with their occasional episodes of public affection, charming coyness and matching tattoos. A photographer is looking for a massive payday from Rihanna and Chris Brown, and after he says he was beaten and robbed for snapping a photo of the couple in May.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the singer, 19, was in a vehicle with an unidentified woman in L.A.'s Hancock Park neighborhood around Sunday 12:30 a.m. when they began arguing.

Rihanna banned UK’s X-Factor winner Alexandra Burke from meeting Chris Brown over the weekend in U.K. Rihanna and Chris had decided to celibret being together by giving to each other $200,000 diamond necklaces.Rihanna was nominated in three categories this year, including Best Dance Recording for "Disturbia." but Chris Brown a received two nominations.

Chris Brown Rihanna Cancel Grammy Awards!

Chris Brown and Rhianna have cancelled for the 2009 Grammy Awards. Chris Brown and Rihanna cancel their Grammy Awards performances as reports Rihanna’s face is bruised and Chris Brown is being sought on a domestic violence investigation allegedly against an unidentified female Sunday morning in the Hancock Park section of Los Angeles.

Whatever is going on, it’s happening very fast.

Here again is the latest broke earlier on LALATE NEWS. Rihanna is out for the Grammys tonight. Why? No specifics are being given. But ET / The Insider says her face is bruised. How?

The official statement from the Grammy Awards:

“We have just been informed that Rihanna will not be attending tonight’s 51st Annual Grammy Awards. We’re sorry she is unable to join us this evening”.

The report from ET says:

Sources tell ET that Rihanna’s face is slightly bruised and no announcement has been made as to who will be taking her place on stage.

ihanna’s reps won’t comment on her health anymore than ““Rihanna is well. Thank you for concern and support” said to Access Hollywood.

Both were set to perform tonight. Brown was up for two nominations, Rihanna for three.

Brown’s alleged victim is a female, name and age not being released to press because the investigation is a domestic violence.

“Mr Brown is a suspect that we are looking for… we would definitely like to speak with him” says police in a statement to Access Hollywood.
