Chris Brown arrested over Rihanna beating
Rihanna who had seemingly a fairytale romance with fellow music superstar Chris Brown was allegedly beaten. What is known with certainty is that Chris Brown was arrested as a part of an investigation for alleged domestic violence felony battery. See photos and video here.
Both Chris Brown and Rihanna canceled their performances at the 2009 Grammy Awards. Replacing them was a duet of “Let’s Stay Together” by Justin Timberlake and Al Green. Ironic though coincidental choice of songs in these circumstances.
That same night, February 8, 2009, Chris Brown was arrested. The arrest was confirmed by LAPD and caught on tape by TMZ. However, as per law, the victim’s identity is not released as anyone involved in an incident of domestic violence is entitled to confidentiality. He was later released from police custody after posting $50,000 bail.
According to police reports, officers responded to a 911 call at around 12:30 a.m. An unidentified woman who appeared to have been beaten identified Brown as her attacker. Brown was not found at the scene.
There was no confirmation or denial from Rihanna, only a vaguely worded statement from her publicist: “Rihanna is well. Thank you for your concern and support.”
Along with the aforementioned Grammy performances canceled. The singers had last appeared together Saturday night at the star-studded Clive Davis pre-Grammy party in Beverly Hills. Both of the chart-topping, internationally known singers are quite young; Chris Brown(”Forever”) is 19 and Rihanna (”Disturbia,” “Don’t Stop the Music”) is a few days away from her 21st birthday. Prior to this disturbing incident they had been the delight (and paycheck) of paparazzi with their occasional episodes of public affection, charming coyness and matching tattoos. Last Saturday night, Rihanna and Chris were at Clive Davis's Pre-Grammy party in Beverly Hills.
A photographer is looking for a massive payday from Rihanna and Chris Brown, and after he says he was beaten and robbed for snapping a photo of the couple in May.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the singer, 19, was in a vehicle with an unidentified woman in L.A.'s Hancock Park neighborhood around Sunday 12:30 a.m. when they began arguing.
Rihanna banned UK’s X-Factor winner Alexandra Burke from meeting Chris Brown over the weekend in U.K. Rihanna and Chris had decided to celibret being together by giving to each other $200,000 diamond necklaces.Rihanna was nominated in three categories this year, including Best Dance Recording for "Disturbia." but Chris Brown a received two nominations.

Chris Brown Rihanna Cancel Grammy Awards!
Chris Brown and Rhianna have cancelled for the 2009 Grammy Awards. Chris Brown and Rihanna cancel their Grammy Awards performances as reports Rihanna’s face is bruised and Chris Brown is being sought on a domestic violence investigation allegedly against an unidentified female Sunday morning in the Hancock Park section of Los Angeles.
Whatever is going on, it’s happening very fast.
Here again is the latest broke earlier on LALATE NEWS. Rihanna is out for the Grammys tonight. Why? No specifics are being given. But ET / The Insider says her face is bruised. How?

“We have just been informed that Rihanna will not be attending tonight’s 51st Annual Grammy Awards. We’re sorry she is unable to join us this evening”.

ihanna’s reps won’t comment on her health anymore than ““Rihanna is well. Thank you for concern and support” said to Access Hollywood.
Both were set to perform tonight. Brown was up for two nominations, Rihanna for three.
Brown’s alleged victim is a female, name and age not being released to press because the investigation is a domestic violence.
“Mr Brown is a suspect that we are looking for… we would definitely like to speak with him” says police in a statement to Access Hollywood.
