The following lists the high schools of the system, including their feeder elementary and middle schools. The system presides over the vast majority of Cabarrus County, North Carolina, the exception being an area of Kannapolis in the northern part of the county that operates its own district.

JMRHS continued to exhibit growth and success for 2007-2008 with at least 80% of students’ test scores at or above grade level and meeting all 17 AYP goals under the No Child Left Behind Legislation.

In 2001 the county opened Robinson High School, the first new high school in Cabarrus County in 35 years.

In our eighth year of educating youth in Cabarrus County, JMRHS is enjoying success in academics, career technical education, fine arts, and athletics. Robinson High School were selected to receive Impact Through Education Awards sponsored in partnership with Cabarrus County Schools and the Cabarrus Regional Chamber, Corning, Phillip Morris USA, Windstream Communications and Benham Real Estate.

No doubt students, teachers, staff and parents at Mount Pleasant Elementary School are buzzing today after Jessica Davis, a 5th grader at the school, won the Cabarrus County Schools Annual Spelling Bee.

In addition, the Board of Education recently approved the construction of a new high school in the Hickory Ridge community near Harrisburg, a new middle school, and two new elementary schools. [...]… new schools at all three levels tend to become quickly overcrowded (Robinson High School, built for 1,500 students, opened in the fall of 2005 with nearly 1,800 students enrolled).

CCS STUDENTS AND STAFF NOW HAVE ACCESS TO ENCYCLOPEDIA BRITANNICA ONLINE! The Cabarrus County Board of Education officially named the school “Cabarrus County Schools Performance Learning Center” and is now referred to as the “PLC”.
