Kobe & Shaq share MVP; West winds NBA All-Star game

Former teammates Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal teamed up again during the NBA All-Star game to lead the West to a dominating 146-119 victory over the East.

“We wanted to be aggressive,” Bryant said. “We talked about it before going out there, we wanted to play. We lost last year and we wanted to make sure we came out here and played the game hard, come out here with a win.”

Bryant led all scorers with 27 points while Shaq had 17 points in just 11 minutes on the court. Their dominating performance earned them Co-MVP honors.

“It felt like old times,” O’Neal said. “I miss those times. He was really looking for me, especially when we went to a pick-and-roll and they had Rashard Lewis on me.”

Come on Lakers, reunite these guys in Los Angeles.
