SarahPAC, the Official Political Action Committee for Sarah Palin Fans

Alaska Governor Sarah Palin (signing an autograph at Elon University, left) has started her Political Action Committee, SarahPAC.

According to the website, the PAC is "dedicated to building America's future, supporting fresh ideas, and candidates who support our ideas for reform and innovation."

No doubt she will use this as a fund-raising vehicle for her Presidential bid in 2012. Meanwhile, Palin has been busy working with top conservative leaders, to help remake the Republican Party into a more Reaganesque group.

Palin and your blogger are the same age and were teens when Reagan became President. Thus, being a member of the "Reagan generation", Palin was greatly affected by his message of a stronger defense, a smaller government, and a supply side economy. She seeks to return the party to those ideals and away from being a party of big government, as we had sadly become in more recent years.

Perhaps SarahPAC will do just that.

Your blogger is a member of a social networking group known as "Team Sarah" and it will be interesting to see the buzz about the PAC on that site.
